The Festival is presented on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., by the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage, in association with the National Park Service. Admission is always free.
In 2023, the Festival will take place June 29–July 4 and July 6–9 on the National Mall. The featured programs are Creative Encounters: Living Religions in the U.S. and The Ozarks: Faces and Facets of a Region. A detailed schedule will be available online by late spring.
